Materials Outgassing Analysis
ORS offers a wide range of testing techniques for material analysis, process monitoring and failure analysis. Our laboratory staff has in-depth expertise in electronic components and modules, PCBs, metals, gases, organics and inorganics. Have questions? Our scientific staff can recommend the analytical technique that will best meet your requirements.
Materials Outgassing & Characterization Studies. Oneida’s outgassing services have been developed as a method to characterize the outgassing of a large variety of different samples. Testing may be performed via IVA® testing or GC/MS.
Ultra-High Vacuum – Evolved Gas Analysis (UHV-EGA): Evolved Gas Analysis is a mass spectrometry technique used to study the gases released from a sample while it is being heated. Thermal decomposition and desorption processes can be studied to understand potential decomposition products and evaluate thermal stability.
ASTM E595 Outgassing Testing: ORS offers ASTM E595 Testing to measure a material’s outgassing level by exposing it to vacuum and heat. Total Mass Loss (TML) and Collected Volatile Condensable Materials (CVCM) are two parameters that are measured.
